It was. Seriously it was. And the art for 17 is amazing, too! I just feel like. I feel like there should be another volume. Or something more exciting should have happened. It feels like maybe the author was in a huge hurry. And plan out volume 17 as fast as I possibly can! Is probably what she thought. Or maybe I want to submit my Volume 17 into.
So that even though this is the last volume of my beautiful series, it will still feel like there's supposed to be MORE to the story! I was just looking forward to volume For some reason, I thought it'd be romantic. This is a harem manga. There was blushing, some squirming, but. Or do anything. And of course, everyone was awaiting the romance between Kaho and Len, right? Len was in this book. This volume was okay. Art was pretty. I'll just end it here.
My beautiful tumblr. That I'm promoting. May 28, S. Eries rated it liked it Shelves: manga. In Summary La Corda comes to its conclusion! However, the major heartthrobs — Ryotaro, Kazuki, Azuma, and Len — get to have their own heart-to-heart chat with Kahoko. Still, Kahoko finally makes her choice at the end of the volume although the touching closing scene is not without some frustration.
She also includes a two-page afterword at the end of the volume. View 1 comment. Dec 05, Lyra rated it it was amazing Shelves: la-corda-d-oro. The story as a whole isn't really romantic because romantic scenes are almost non-existent. If I'm going to review it using only my mind, that's exactly what I would say. Though there are really no kissing scenes or whatever and when I say kissing scene, I really mean a proper kiss on the lips in the whole manga, I still squealed and screamed and giggled and laughed the whole time I was reading this.
First off, I'm a proud LenxHino supporter. From the very beginning, I already loved Len's character and hoped that Hino and him end up together.
That's why, every time he shows concern to Hino, I was like "Waaah! Len's concerned about Hino! Len just offered his help to Hino! I was so engrossed with these characters that I hadn't noticed that nothing super sweet really happened between them, though if we will take Len's personality into equation, almost every scene where he shows concern for her is already sweet. I was so on Lili's side when she?
Can I go inside this book and just give Len a very hard jab on the head? Why'd he do that to Hino? So, yeah. I was pretty frustrated on that part. XD So, there. It's obvious that I really enjoyed the series. I hope you guys liked it, too. Matta ne! The main reason this gets a 4 and not a 5 is because I don't in general like manga that is based off harem dating simulation games. The main character never ends up with the one I want, and it's usually pretty muddled.
The author nearly always has an ending where the feelings are not completely expressed, so that fans of other combinations can interpret in whatever way they want. Now, that's fine, but for shoujo I think most people can agree that what they came for was the romance, and at the The main reason this gets a 4 and not a 5 is because I don't in general like manga that is based off harem dating simulation games.
Now, that's fine, but for shoujo I think most people can agree that what they came for was the romance, and at the end of this, there is not so much as a kiss to "seal the deal" as to who she ends up with. I'm personally okay with that because he wasn't my favorite.
However , though I started reading La Corda for romance, I quickly became swept up in the musical aspect of it, and I absolutely loved it. I love our protagonist giving it all she's got! True, there was an element of the supernatural in the beginning, but that fades and it just becomes her and the friendships she makes, along with her progress on the violin.
I own a violin, which I received as a gift a few years ago, and I have never played. This manga was enough to get me to open the box, to learn how to hold it, to try and play a few notes. That is worth something alone. The love of music among these students is so forthcoming, and it's charming.
I appreciate how the author names the pieces they perform, because many of them are breathtakingly beautiful. Truly I found this manga to be about music, and the love of music, rather than about a romance between our heroine and one of the boys though it was a fresh sight to see a harem romance surrounding a GIRL for once. Totally worth the read! Feb 19, Amber Hetchler rated it really liked it Shelves: manga.
So sad that this is the end. Oct 17, Kimikimi rated it liked it Shelves: manga. I don't usually like Manga based off of dating sims because it builds up all of this romantic tension and then doesn't follow through. This one wasn't so bad though, and because of the art and the story telling. I do get really annoyed at the lead though, there is no way a person can be so clueless as to not notice that Six guys are seriously interested in her.
I know it's necessary to drive the story but it makes her look seriously stupid. The books also seem to have a bit of a Madonna complex I don't usually like Manga based off of dating sims because it builds up all of this romantic tension and then doesn't follow through.
The books also seem to have a bit of a Madonna complex in regards to her, which is a bit creepy, especially when the guys who are romantically interested in her start thinking of her in motherly ways.
I know it's mild, but ick. The series is really good at building romantic tension though, so if you are a fan of that as I am then check this series out. It's also about music, which is beautiful and great so that's another reason to give it a try. I also found the inclusion of a whole new set of characters very distracting. I kept thinking that there was so little space left, so why waste it on people we aren't invested in? View all 3 comments. This volume flew by so fast! Wish I had known beforehand that it was the finale.
VIZ on Edelweiss needs to warn me when a volume is the finale Sadly, this series is over. But, there are volumes I still need to read someday, so I guess it's not over for me. But, I did not like h This volume flew by so fast! But, I did not like how Len acted towards her. All opinions expressed here are my own. A big conclusion for Kahoko and several of her friends, a simple confession between her and Len, some growing for Kahoko.
I think I maybe wanted a little more solidity, but it was still nice. Either way, I am going to miss this series. It was fun and very cute, and I grew very attached to the characters. Having stuck by this series for a long while, I'm glad that it's finally over. It didn't drag on too long, and it was entertaining for the most part. However, I'm kind of disappointed with the ending.
It ended off on a good note, but I wish it had expanded a little more on all of the characters with an afterward or something that showed everyone in the future and how they're getting on. Jun 23, Amber rated it liked it Shelves: manga.
I wanted to like the final volume more than I did. It felt rushed and honestly the ending left much to be desired. Especially in wake of reader satisfaction. This was not something to leave so open-ended, and sure it can be argued that it isn't, but still, it would have been nice to see more come of the main "relationship".
It all started with Kahoko, a fairy and a magic violin. First saw the anime and found the story continues of course in manga form. I'll admit I started liking the series then later on wasn't as into it.
Still from time to time I would try to catch up. The art and characters are drawn really well. Though it seemed like there should of been more. The volume wasn't bad or anything. Feb 10, Lauren rated it it was amazing Shelves: manga.
One of my favorite things is a reverse harem type of series and this one did not disappoint. The correlation between each of the different boys and their musical instruments was excellent and I loved how music helped to progress the story line along.
