I've been testing some stuff and posting in the Convergance thread. But I think it's time to move it over here.
Seems to be iWidgets related Here's where I ended up So I've been using my iPhone for the last half hour with an animated LS widget, a dynamic LS wall, an animated iWidget on Page 1 and a different animated iWidget on page two And it would crash to safe mode after the install and after the uninstall.
I turned off the LS animated widget and the LS dynamic wall. Still got the same safe mode crashes. I turned off the animated iWidgets and still got the same safe mode crashes. Did a hard reboot. Installed and uninstalled a tweak in Cydia and still got the same safe mode crashes after install and uninstall. I removed the iWidgets tweak entirely and put the animated widget back on my LS and dynamic wallpaper back on my LS.
And I had NO safe modes installing and uninstalling the same tweaks. The hardware issue is not RAM, it's flash storage. It's affecting both the 64 and models. Apple has already made the changes to the type of flash storage it is using. Originally Posted by Krima. It's very frustrating. Look at the description of the Cydia package, everything you have to do is detailed. Hopefully we will see iWidget-compatible widgets available in Cydia.
Where to manually install Widgets. When compared to Dashboard X, iWidgets is missing a few key features. Make sure you re-enable iWidgets through Mobile Substrate Addons, especially if you decide to delete iWidgets. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
